Assistant Principal
Ms. Willis was born and raised in Houston, TX and graduated from South Houston High School in Pasadena Independent School District. As an honor’s student, she was a member of the drama club, varsity basketball team, track and field team, cross country team, and chaplain for Christ on Campus.
Ms. Willis graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Academic Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. She went on to complete a rigorous three-year certificate program with the Early Literacy Leadership Academy at Rice University.
In her years in education, she has served as a Pre-Kindergarten and 1st Grade Teacher, Mentor Coach, Campus Induction Coordinator, Instructional Excellence Coach, Texas School Ready Project Coordinator, Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System Trainer, and District Curriculum Implementation Coach.
As a teacher, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Texas A&M University. In addition, she graduated from Lamar University with a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration earning a Principal’s Certification for the State of Texas.
After working 17 years in Houston ISD and New Caney ISD, she received the opportunity to serve students and teachers in Aldine ISD and was named Assistant Principal of Vines EC/PK/K School in 2023.
As Assistant Principal and Campus Behavior Coordinator at Vines EC/PK/K School, she works closely with teachers, campus leaders, district administrators, and community members, to foster a safe learning environment that strives to nurture all students’ desire to become life-long learners.
